Fashion Statement
Fashion is my candy, my cream, my crush. It’s the insight, the lush, the lust. The 8th deadly sin. Fashion is my mood, my mood is my style, trendy or not, old-fashioned or hot. It’s the one and only reason I stare myself in the mirror when I wake up and dress up. It’s the outfit stuck in my mind, the treasure I indulge. I can go blind, deaf, mute, deaf-mute, but I’ll still express myself through fashion, through style, through passion. Fashion is the dandy, the vamp, the lady, the tramp. The class, the lass, the romance, the love affair, the eye-candy, the role playing, the poise, the attitude, the ID, the message, the flamboyant flapper, the underground dope, Robert Palmer’s iconic girls dancing back and forth. Fashion is Sid & Nancy in a catwalk, the risk, the challenge, the dream, the poem, the elegy, the obsession, the beat, the rythm, the weapon. Fashion is getting dressed to kill, getting dressed to face the enemy, getting dressed to create the concept, our unique concept of style, elegance, fashion, trend or else. To me, fashion is the velvet, the lace, the satin, the decay, the leather, the silk, the mesh, the revivals, the florals, the icons, the it girls, Jane Birkin’s basket, the faux fur, the tweed, the tartan, the Peter Pan collar, the edgy chic, the DIY, the art! It’s the connection between my first and my last pair of shoes - because style itself lasts forever, or at least, a lifetime.
